My name is Kate. I’m 25 and I have a journalism degree. In my years, I’ve noticed the incredibly overwhelming amount of terrible journalism that graces our media each day. While human beings are starving in our very communities, we are constantly bombarded by the news of some stupid thing (or otherwise normal misfortune) a celebrity has done or experienced. In an effort to share news that matters, I will first choose to tell a different celebrity or public figure to ‘shut up’ each day and share stories about things that are actually important.
